Nishikigoi are very famous around the Niigata mountains and the close Cities such as Nagaoka and Ojiya. Ojiya is very famous for Koi and it has a Koi Museum. It was built many years ago and local breeders donated Koi and some have been there for a very long time. It has been updated lately to show some of the more recent Koi etc. Its a great place to visit when you are on a tour with Koitrips. There is also a souvenir shop for Koi trinkets.
